Rachel Eller Vaughn

Mrs. Vaughn was born February 20, 1932 in Griffin daughter of the late Dee Roy Eller and the late Ruby Bell McDonald Eller. She was a member of the Griffin First Assembly of God and enjoyed doing arts & crafts, arranging flowers, cooking and reading the Bible. Mrs. Vaughn was a loving and devoted wife and mother. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by brothers, Roy, J.C., J.B. and Leon Eller.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Vaughn of Griffin; daughters, Patricia Norton Pruitt of Williamson, Cheryl Parr of Griffin; sons & daughter-in-law, Darryl & Rita Hammond of Aragon, David Hammond of Griffin; step-daughters, Rose Vaughn of Yatesville, Peggy & Larry Benning of Fort Pierce, FL, Helen Phillips of Arlington, GA; step-son, David Vaughn of Thomaston; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Lannie Eller Harris of Griffin and several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Eller Vaughn will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
