

Skylar was born on February 4, 2003 in Griffin. She was a 4th grade student at Orr’s Elementary School. Skylar loved to draw and was an exceptional little artist. She will be remembered for her love of animals and for her “larger than life” personality. She attended the Griffin Centerpoint Church as well the Landmark Church of God. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lewis Hoard.
Survivors include her mother, Ivy Dials; brother, Travis Hoard; grandmother, Betty Rickman; aunts and uncles, Coreliece and Darrell Putman, Rubeana and Kevin Majors, Denise and Jimmy Adams; her guardian and loving cousins, Renae and Robert Lupes; cousins, Tracey Hornsby, Ashley Putman, Jamie Adams, and Britney Clay, other family also survive.
Funeral services for Little Skylar Jade Dials will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Griffin Centerpoint Church. Pastor Tracy Stone and Pastor Rebecca Brannon will officiate. Burial will follow in the old section of Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, to honor of Skylar’s love for animals, the family request that donation be made to the Griffin Spalding County Humane Society or to an animal charity of your choice in her memory.
