Walter T Stewart

Mr. Stewart was born October 17, 1942 in Griffin, son of the late Henry Thomas Steward and the late Nina Burnette Steward. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Fields, Patricia Harris, Sara Brooks, Evelyn Silvey, Lanell Brewer and brothers, Ronald, Donald, Roy and Tommy Steward.

Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Terry & Lynda Stewart; grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan and Kimberly Stewart; step-grandchildren, Susan, Paul, Shawn and Angel; great-grandson, Alexander Thomas Stewart; several step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Rev. Pete Steward and Clinton Steward and sisters, Diane Goins and Edna Tant. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Memorial services for Mr. Walter “Skeet” Stewart will be held Friday, August 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Westwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family on Friday 1 hour prior to the service time.
