

Allen J. Bishop age 75 died at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital Wednesday May 23rd, 2012. He was born in Detroit the son of Richard and Agnes (nee Smith)Bishop. He was a resident of Warren for 45 years. Allen met and later married Rose Marie Zagorski October 6th, 1962 at St. David Catholic Church in Detroit. They shared 49 years of marriage. Allen worked for the University of Liggett School, Grosse Pointe Woods, as a Structural engineer for 34 years retiring in 2002. He was a very quiet and talented man who loved children and spent a lot of time woodworking creating dollhouses and toys for them. Sports minded, Allen spent many years coaching softball, baseball and basketball for the Warren Parks and Recreation Department and also St. Malachy Church youth group. Allen is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Rose Marie. His children, Kimberly (David) Kitts, Michael (Cody) Bishop, Sharon (Stephen) Detgen, and Dr. Kenneth (Dr. Jacalyn) Bishop. He was devoted to his grandchildren, Allison, Aaron, McKenzie, Adam, Sydney, Parker, Caleb, Skyler, Benjamin, Cassandra, Danielle, Madisyn, Stephanie, Jace, Cooper, and Addelyn. Proud great-grandpa to Ayden. He is also survived by his siblings Mary Sprigg, Doris (John)Watterson and sister-in-law Ellen Bishop. In addition to his parents Allen was predeceased by 6 other siblings the late Eleanor Stout, Martin Bishop, Richard Bishop, Frances Mairano, Joseph Bishop and Kenneth Bishop. Funeral Service Tuesday May 29th, 2012 at St. Malachy Catholic Church 14085 E 14 Mile Rd. Warren Instate 10:30 AM until time of Mass 11 AM. Visitation at the A.H.Peters Funeral Home 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 Mile Rd.) Warren Sunday May 27th from 2PM until 9PM and Monday May 28th from 1PM until 9 PM, a Prayer Service will be held at 7PM.
