Andrew Nicholas Hatzis

Andrew Hatzis passed away on May 30, 2018 at the age of 58. He was born onAugust 11, 1959 in Detroit; son of Nick and Eugenia Hatzis. Andy graduated from Finney High School in 1977 where he played varsity baseball. He was enjoyed all of the local sports teams especially the Tigers. He managed numerous parking lots in Detroit over the years including a lot near Comerica Park. He had met and knew some of the Detroit Tigers. Andrew kept active playing softball. He was very successful in his business ventures. He will be missed by his loving mother Eugenia and brother John. Andy loved his niece Genie and leaves behind relatives in Greece. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 8:30 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A Trisagion will be held at 6:00 PM. Andrew will lie instate on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral at 10:00 am at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 21800 Marter Rd., St Clair Shores. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church.
