Aron graduated from Michigan State University in 1971. He may have been their biggest fan. As season ticket(s) holder for Spartan football he was generous in his invitations every fall to family and friends to attend a home game in East Lansing. And looking down he must be pleased to see Izzo's team placing at the top this year. Aron was the go-to-guy when there was a question about anything in sports. Aron's sport was bowling. From a young man he excelled at the bowling alley. 1969-MSU Intramural Independent Team Championship, 1971-Lansing, Capitol City Single Match Game Championship, 1971-Took over the lead in All Events at the American Bowling Congress Tournament at Cobo Hall in Detroit as a 21yr. old MSU senior in his first ABC Tournament and finish 8th in All Events, 1971-Finished 21st at US team Trials in Columbus, Ohio, 1981-Made the Lansing All City Team, 1972-Became Certified Expert in ball fitting and drilling from the Brunswick Corporation, 1977-Won the Michigan Majors Championship averaging 243 at Gold Crown Lanes, 2002-Greater Detroit Bowing Association Doubles Championship w/partner Billy Cole at Astro Lanes in Madison Heights, Mi., 2002-04-Professional Bowlers Association Senior Tour Player, 2004-First 300 Game and First 800 Series at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Mi.
