Arjeski, Barbara Ann Nov 15, 2009 Age 83 Beloved wife of Eugene. Dear mother of Matt (Susan), Mary Kruszewski (Paul), Lisa Williams (Kevin). Loving grandmother of Trevor, John, Marisa, and Chloe. Sister of Jean Dalton, sister-in-law of Easter Kennedy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 2-9pm with Scripture Service 7pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave at Vernier Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods. In state Thursday 9:30am until time of Funeral Mass 10am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church 467 Fairford, Grosse Pointe Woods. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capuchins 1820 Mt. Elliott, Detroit 48207. Barbara attended St. Paul's Catholic High School and graduated with a BA from Marygrove College - majored in Home Economics - After college she worked for her family business at the L. W. Kennedy Company - Married the love of her life Eugene in May, 1955 and raised Matt, Mary and Lisa - For 21 years she enjoyed making and selling homemade craft items at various local craft shows - Held a variety of volunteer jobs such as: - Worked for the Red Cross at Deaconess Hospital in Detroit. - Served on the Altar Society and Christian Service Committee at Our Lady Star of the Sea - Manned incoming phone calls at Dialogue - Worked at the St. Patrick Senior Center - Served meals at the St. Dominic Soup Kitchen, St. Leo's, Capuchin Soup Kitchen - Served as President of Pregnancy Aid, as well as several other honorable positions which provided much needed help and counselling for young mothers to be Barbara was a devout Catholic and loved her family and friends so very much...we will miss her gentle kindness and sense of humor
