Barbara L. Hooper

Mrs. Barbara L. Hooper, age 83, of Warren, went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2017. Beloved wife of the late James H. Hooper; loving mother of Michael (Lisa) Gorney, Louise Meyn, Robert (Cathy) Gorney, Teresa Gorney, Ronald (Tess) McGough, and William (Heather) McGough; proud grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 12; dear sister of Loretta (Art) Wright and the late Lawrence and Charles Hengy; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Barbara enjoyed bingo, crocheting, and working word search puzzles. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. Scripture service 7:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass Thursday 12 noon at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 22412 Overlake, St. Clair Shores, MI. Instate Thursday 11:30 am at the church. Burial at Fort Custer National Cemetery in the near future. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
