BlahBlah, I will miss our long phone conversations! We had some good laughs and some good cries and had fun remembering some great childhood times. Thank you for caring for me when I was sick, I really appreciated the fabulous homemade dinners you made for me! Thank you for the gorgeous handmade kitchen towels and dishcloths I use them all the time and they still look brand new! Thank you for donating handmade "hairy hats" to the cancer center (the patients loved them) that was so kind of you and truly appreciated. You were a caring generous person who was amazingly talented and the best "chef" ever! I will miss you! Love SueSue

BlahBlah, I sure remember that nickname for you. Thank you for being in my life while I was growing up. Although I did not see you very much once we went on with our adult lives. You were and are definitely a part of my "growing upâ€ years. I remember how much fun we had when you would come and stay for the day. I looked forward to those visits. You have a kind and generous heart. That kindness and generosity touched many lives - many, many people will keep you in their heart. Thank you for caring for my sister SueSue when she was ill. I know she will never ever forget it and appreciated it very much. You will be greatly missed.

How can one know what a true friend is until you've truly had one? Barbara was a "brownie," courage-honor-honesty. A friend who never missed calling you in 42 years to sing happy birthday (she was no Celine Dion) and make sure you knew just how old you were. She was like a mother even if she was the same age as you...always concerned. Barbara was Barbara. Feisty, direct and honest. She never sugar coated anything but was sincere and one of the most caring people God has placed on this earth. She brought back friends who have not spoken in years. I wish she could still be here to pursue her medical career because there would be no person that she would not take under her wing and care for as she has done in the past. Garrett, my condolences go to you today. Remember your mother for who she truly was and know she loved you and always wanted the best for you. I have lost a good friend but I hope I have gained one in you. Please keep in touch.

Garret, we have never met, however I went to school with your mom from 1-12 She graduated in 1968 right? I remember her falling in grade school and knocking out her two front teeth. She was a cute girl and a lot of fun from what I recall 58 is just to damn young. I'm so very sorry. Al

Dear Garrett: I am very sorry for your familyâ€™s loss. I have not seen Barbara, Craig, or Charlie in many many years, but I clearly remember the Parks family on Waltham Street in Detroit. I lived across the street from your mom when the Parks family lived on Waltham, so I thought that I would share one of my memories of your mom. Your mom and I went together to see the Beatles Live performance in 1964, at the Olympia in Detroit. We were really excited, and thoroughly enjoyed the concert. It is just a little piece of history, but it was so exciting. Although the last time I saw your mom she was just a young girl, she will always be part of my fond memories of growing up on Detroitâ€™s East-Side. Please know that I honor your sorrow.
