Beatrice R. Dutts

Beatrice R. Dutts age 90, died peacefully on June 12, 2020 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clemens. Beatrice was born in Grosse Pointe on June 29, 1929, the daughter of Peter and Amelia Marchand. She grew up in Grosse Pointe and graduated from St, Paul High School in 1947.

Beatrice went on a blind date with Louis Dutts, a date set up by her cousin. They were married on June 28, 1952 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Harper Woods. They moved into a new home in St. Clair Shores where they raised their family. For 24 years, Bea and Lou wintered in Florida including Marco Island and St. Petersburg.

Beatrice enjoyed baking, sewing and knitting and most of all playing cards especially euchre and pinochle. She was a life long fan of the Detroit Tigers.

She was volunteer for many years at the Fr. Solanus Center. and life long member of St. Joan of Arc Church.

Bea is survived by her children Beth Stimac ( John) and Mary Hogan ( James ), grandchildren John ( Staci ), David ( Kristi ) , Jaclyn ( Fiancé Michael Robell), Patrick ( Maggie) and Kevin and great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Charles, Charlotte, Annabelle and Ella. She was predeceased by her husband Louis and a son Louis.

A Mass we be celebrated on June 18, 2020 at St. Joan of Arc Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores, MI at 10:00am. Monsignor G. Bugarin will officiate. Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
