Bernadine Loeher, age 79, died suddenly on November 18, 2008. She was the dear aunt of Charles Loeher, Jr. (Elizabeth), Kathleen Bonneau (Charles) and Eileen Knoff (Stephen). Grand aunt of Patricia Kroppe, Charles III, Barbara Periard, Kathleen Perry, Kristen Votruba and Elizabeth Knoff. Sister of the late Charles Loeher. She is also survived by a longtime friend, Ralph Hanneman of Sarasota, FL. Ms. Loeher began her professional career at the National Bank of Detroit in 1947 working as an executive secretary. She retired in 1991 as a vice-president in the trust department. She maintained many friendships from the bank through the years in a luncheon club. She was a resident of Pine Ridge Senior Community on Garfield in Clinton Township. Formerly she resided in St. Clair Shores. Her hobbies included travel, having made six trips to Europe, golf in her earlier years, New York Times crosswords, family and friends. She was a loving caregiver to the elderly, particularly for her parents, Frank and Mary Loeher; her aunt Irene Scherer and an uncle, the Rev. Fr. Bernard Loeher. Her grand nieces and nephews and their children were like her grandchildren. She was a selfless individual who enjoyed doing things for others rather than herself.
