Pam and family - so sorry to hear about Barney. That man was the busiest retiree we've ever seen - always building something - always a project! We will miss seeing him working in the garage as we pull in the driveway next door.

Dear Family of Mr. Nanni - 
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Nanni and I am still thinking about him today, and the impact he had on me. We have many teachers that we have throughout life. Many teachers we do not remember and then there are those we never forget. I would like to think of Mr. Nanni as one I would never forget over the last 46 years. I thought about him often as the years have gone by. I consider myself very fortunate that I had him for 6th grade Social Studies at Ellis School in the 1969-1970 year. I remember how he was impeccably dressed with his polished wing tip shoes and finely pressed clothes. He always moved at a very fast pace. As I recall he was left handed and had the most beautiful penmanship. It inspired me to develop mine. In fact he could write better with his right hand than most right handed folks! He was also my basketball coach that taught me the famous 2 hand chest passes on the court which I have taught to my children. Mr. Nanni inspired me to be a top performer in life, not by what he said, but by his actions. He truly cared about his students and he was a great teacher, motivator and human being. He will be missed by all I am sure. I will keep Mr. Nanni and his family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. With Best Regards, Daniel J. Trotta

Barney was a good person , smart and funny and always made others feel special.. he had some real gifts that will be in our memories forever.

He and I were great friends in High School in the late 40's and early 50's. We had a lot of great times together.

Mr. Nanni was the BEST teacher that I had the privilege to have. Thirty years later, I still remember him standing in front of the podium in the classroom. I was always so happy to hear that it was him teaching that that day!! My sincerest condolences to family and friends. He will be truly missed. RIP Mr. Nanni

Your dad was extraordinary. Angela, I still remember from a few years ago when he came to visit your Spanish class. He was genuinely happy to be around the students and was so proud of you! I remember thinking that when I retire I'll probably head for the hills and never look back, but your father was such a delight and obviously gave of himself. I know he was proud of the educator, parent and person you became! Heaven certainly has gained a very special angel... love and prayers for your family. Unfortunately I am unable to attend the visitation, but I'll be thinking about you.

What a wonderful man and i had the pleasure of being his student my 6th grade year. Too many fond memories to list. Sending prayers to his family. He will be missed. RIP and God bless. Thank you for the many lessons you taught me, I've used them my entire life.

I had Mr. Nanni as a reading teacher for 6 th grade in 1971 and he tought us all to speed read Readers Digest the main points to improve overall reading. He also was our basketball coach that taught us the chest pass and he could make half court shots that way too! I am sure the family has many memories that will live on through each of his children.
