Betty Lou Ramsey

Betty Lou Ramsey was born in Yancey County, North Carolina on June 28, 1931 the daughter of Latt and Rose Hughes. She married Hiram Ramsey in 1952 and together they enjoyed 32 years of happy marriage until his death in 1984. Betty Lou enjoyed doting on her grandchildren as they grew. She loved her dogs, shopping, eating and roses. Betty Lou had an extensive doll collection. She loved the City of Detroit and the metro area. She enjoyed cooking for the holidays, especially for Easter and Christmas. Betty Lou is survived by her daughter Kimberly Guy (the late David) and her son Kevin (Amy) Ramsey. Betty Lou was the grandmother of Jennifer, Michael, Albert and Amanda. She was the great-grandmother of four and the great-great-grandmother of one. Betty Lou is predeceased by her husband Hiram and her son John Ramsey. Funeral Service will take place 10 am Saturday at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods. Family and friends will gather beginning at 9:30 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
