Brent Applewhite passed away on September 16, 2014 at 5:47 pm at Children's Hospital in Detroit at the age of 21. Brent was born in Detroit on September 14, 1993; son of Julinda Watkins and Charles Applewhite. Brent was a graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School. He was active in the Grosse Pointe / Harper Woods ARC and volunteered at the Full Circle. He leaves behind his parents; his brothers Adrian McCoy and Charles Applewhite III; sisters Chazmin and Kayla Applewhite; grandmothers June Watkins, and Dorcas Applewhite; and grandfather Charlie Applewhite. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Brent's funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Brent will be interred at Forestlawn Cemetery in Detroit.
