Bruce Ziegler, 50 of Grosse Pointe Woods passed away suddenly on February 20. He was born on August 10, 1962 in Grosse Pointe. He was a special gift that was given to all who had the chance to know him! Bruce attended The Foundation for Exceptional Children followed by 20 years in Special Education in the Grosse Pointe Public School System. Bruce enjoyed life and being with family and friends! He always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed music, bowling, softball, Boy Scouts, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. activates- especially the dances! Bruce's passion was watching any type of sports in person or on TV. His dream would have been to attend every home game of the Tigers with family and friends! It was not uncommon for him to have the radio on listening to Ernie Harwell broadcast the Tigers games while watching some other game on TV. He always faithfully watched the Lions and never gave up in the years where most of us did! U of M basketball and football were favorites and he often bet family and friends when they played their rivals Michigan State or Ohio State. Bruce is survived by his mother, Sally and the late Hazen, brother to Kathy Bronikowski and Uncle to Alyssa. He also loved his dogs -- Sophie and Oliver! Visitation will be on Friday, March 1 from 2-8 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road Grosse Pointe Woods.
