Catherine Aziz

Catherine Aziz passed away at St. John Hospital in Detroit on December 11, 2010. She was born on April 6th, 1928; daughter of Wadeh and Annie (nee Rizk) Haddad. Catherine enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a gracious hostess that would make sure that every one was well fed. She was an amazing cook creating wonderful authentic lebanese quisene for family and friends. She enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Harrison, where she could watch the deer and other wildlife. Her true passion in life was her family. Spending time with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews meant the world to her. She leaves behind her husband George. She was proud of her sons Philip, Ed (Sharon), and Rodney (Dawn). She adored her grandchildren Andrew, Natalie, Emily, and Ethan. She is survived by her siblings Elizabeth Ghaffari (Tony), Edward Haddad, and Jeannette Rahi (Daher). She was predeceased by her siblings Sam Haddad (Peggy), Louis Haddad (Geri), Monsignor John W. Haddad, and Michael Haddad (Marie). She will be missed by her many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. She will lie in state on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores. Monsignor G. Michael Bugarin will officiate. Entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
