

He was 83 years old. He was born on December 25, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Daniel P. Dyer Jr. and Helen Woodard Dyer.
Chuck is survived by his brother, Daniel P. Dyer III (Mimi); his daughter Rene Dyer-Grant; his grandchildren Ashleigh Perry (Dennis), Paul Sturgis (Katherine); and great-grandson Jameson Alan Perry.
Chuck graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1960 and served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1963. He attended University of Heidelberg and Michigan State University. Chuck retired from Detroit Symphony Orchestra after serving as Group Sales Manager for 35 enjoyable years.
Chuck enjoyed sailing with Dan and Mim and their dog, Keeley on Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. He was an avid tennis and squash player and became an enthusiastic golfer in his later years. He loved to spend time at Belle Isle watching the freighters and enjoying regular family dinners with his Great-grandson, Jameson. He attended Christ Church Detroit where he was on the vestry. Chuck was a member of the Propeller Club of Detroit, the Uptown Athletic Club, and the University Club. He served on the board of Direct Marketing Association of Detroit and Michigan Employee Services and Recreation Association.
Visitation will be at A.H. Peters Funeral home at Mack and Vernier in Grosse Pointe Woods on Saturday, May 9th from 1pm – 5pm. The body was cremated.
