Charlotte Elizabeth Khalil

Charlotte Khalil passed away on September 28, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 56. She was born on January 31, 1963 at St. John Hospital in Detroit; daughter of Charles and Christine Khalil. Charlottes interests included her love of music, crocheting, writing poetry and doing puzzles. She will be remembered for her honesty and integrity. She had a huge heart and was selfless in nature, putting others needs ahead of her own. She loved to care for and play with children, especially with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her biggest love of all was her family. She was very proud of her daughter Chanelle (Nathan) Maroney and stepson, Christopher Albert (Tinila). She adored her grandchildren Niah and Eliza. She is survived by her loving mother Christine. Charlotte will be missed dearly by her siblings Dr. Keith (Laura) Khalil, Rachel McNamara (Philip), Dr. Charles (Emilyn) Khalil, Roxann Varicalli, Elias Khalil, and Naomi Khalil (Julie). She was predeceased by her father Charles. She leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 pm. Charlotte will lie instate on Friday at 10:00 am until the time of her funeral at 11:00 am at St. Maron Church, 11466 Kercheval, Detroit. A private burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
