Cheryl Kay Megie

Cheryl Kay Megie, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on October 13, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, Cheryl was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Lorraine (Reesman) Brumagem.

Cheryl is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Jeffrey Wayne Megie. Together, they built a beautiful family and life, filled with love and joy.

Cheryl was a proud and loving mother to her five children: Jeremiah (Michele), Catherine (Gary), Jeffrey (Becky), Sarah, and Benjamin. She adored her eleven grandchildren: Kaden, Tori, Anastaisia, Marissa, Ariana, Jaelyn, Gaige, Evan, Caleb, Bryson, and Violet. Cheryl was also blessed to have one great-grandchild, Zora, who brought her immense joy.

Cheryl is survived by her five siblings: Janet, Patricia, Maryann, Diane, and Debra. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and Charles.

Cheryl's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, located at 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. The immediate family is invited from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by an open house from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Friends and family are welcome to join in remembering and celebrating Cheryl's remarkable life.
