Cheryl Lynn Webster

Cheryl Lynn Webster (Swanson), age 50, passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, January 30, 2020, after a 3-year battle with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Cheryl was born on May 15, 1969, to the proud parents, Jim Swanson and Jean Lakies. She is predeceased by her beloved father, Jim Swanson of Roseville, MI. Cheryl is survived by her loving mother, Jean Lakies, of North Fort Myers, FL, and her three loving brothers, Rich Swanson, Terry Swanson and Tim (Vida) Swanson, and half-brother, Jon Swanson, and her cherished daughter, Sarah Webster.

Cheryl will be missed by many family and friends. She was a 1987 graduate of Lakeview High School, in St. Clair Shores, MI, and a proud veteran, having served in the United States Air Force, as an Electro-Environmental Systems Specialist. Cheryl was very fond of Detroit, working in Eastern Market for over 25 years with R. Hirt Jr. Co., behind the cheese counter, where she developed many long-term friendships with customers and fellow employees. She loved listening to music, watching music videos, and playing the violin and the piano since she was a young child, and was a member of the Lakeview Symphony Orchestra.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service held on Saturday, February 8, 2020, beginning with a gathering at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. www.ahpeters.com
