Chris Christopher

Chris fell asleep in the Lord Friday, June 5, 2026. Chris was born in Detroit, Michigan to parents Nicholas and Marian Christopher. His siblings, Demetra Spiro and Mary Lou Schifano predeceased him in life.

Chris had a generous heart and spirit of caring for his family and friends. After working for the Packard Car Company, he later opened Chris’s Bar and then the Kelly Bar extending his hospitality to many patrons. Chris’s caring continued on to the residents of West Bloomfield Nursing Home for over 25 years.

He was Uncle Chris to nephews Tim and Ted Spiro, Chris and Nick Paske, and Nancy Keener and to grandnieces and grandnephews, Sean, Justin, Stefanie, Christopher, Breanna, Nicholas, Olivia, Kalee, Paige, Phillip and Heather as well as many great nieces and great nephews. He gave so many wonderful memories to beloved cousins across the country and Canada especially Frances (Thomas) Carter, Sonya (Gus deceased) Pezoulas, Pat and Thomas (deceased), Lambrou and Leo Christopher (deceased).

Chris will lie in state Thursday, June 11, 10 am to 11 am with Funeral Service commencing at 11 am Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 21800 Marter Rd. St Clair Shores, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.

Chris’s warm smile and generosity of spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
