Chris was the caring and devoted husband of Karen Panagos. Together, they created a beautiful family. He was a proud father to Dr. Angela (Marcos) Panagos-Leggett, Dr. Chrissy (fiancé Michael Fouad) Panagos, and Konstantine Panagos, and an adoring grandfather to Kira Leggett.
A man of remarkable talent, integrity, and generosity, Chris was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. For decades, he served as the successful dentist and owner of Grosse Pointe Family Dentistry, where he earned the trust and admiration of the community and generations of patients. His compassion, gentle demeanor, and dedication made him a respected professional and treasured friend.
One of Chris' greatest joys was seeing his passion for dentistry passed on to the next generation. He was immensely proud that Angela and Chrissy followed in his footsteps, graduating from his alma mater, the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, and embracing the profession he loved.
Chris was a true craftsman. He cultivated extraordinary skills as a carpenter, woodworker, classic car collector, and painter, managing countless projects with care and precision. Throughout his life, Chris created many beautiful Byzantine icons, which were displayed at The Hellenic Museum of Michigan. His creativity and artistry lives on through Konstantine’s academic and creative pursuits.
As an avid fisherman and hunter, Chris treasured time spent on the lake and in the woods with lifelong friends. Among his greatest accomplishments is his family’s cherished lodge in the woods, which he built. It became a refuge that commemorates his hard work and love of nature.
A faithful member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Chris will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to help others, his remarkable talents, and the love he shared with everyone. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, family, and professional excellence that will continue to inspire all who knew him. His achievements stand as a lasting testament to his spiritual life and love of Christ.
Though deeply missed, Chris' memory will live on through his family he cherished, the patients he cared for, and as an enduring example of a life lived with integrity and love.
May his memory be eternal.
