Christine Danielle Steinkampf

Christine Steinkampf passed away on February 16, 2018 at the age of 32. She was born on January 4, 1986 in Grosse Pointe, MI; daughter of Randall and Patricia (nee Nacey) Steinkampf. Christine graduated from Grosse Pointe North in 2004 and earned her bachelors degree in early childcare from Baker College in 2012. Christine love of children was immense. She worked for an in-home daycare and most recently worked for LA Fitness in Roseville as a child care provider. On Tuesday mornings she worked for Grace Community Church taking care of children in bible study classes. She was a caring, selfless person whose patience and generosity will be remembered. She never expected anything from anyone and would put others needs ahead of her own. In her spare time, Christine would listen to Christian music and complete word searches. She is survived by her loving parents Randy and Patt; her sister Elizabeth, brother Nathan, and her faithful dog Prince. She will be missed by her grandfather Pierre R. Nacey, grandparents Harry and Lou Steinkampf. She will join her grandmother Beverly A. Nacey in Heaven. She is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Her funeral will be held on Monday at noon at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Kempton officiating. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Ronald McDonald House or Gift of Life.
