Patty, Susie and family. My heart and prayers go out to you at this very difficult time. I feel a great sadness at the loss of your brother and someone I considered my friend. Although it has been almost 30 years since I had last seen him, I have thought of him fondly and often thought of our days on Alter Rd and the fun we had on summer nights when we stayed out way too late and played outside because it was safe then. Chris was a great person and he left many memories in my heart. God has received a special gift..he better be on his toes!

Through our daugher Wilma Whisman we have heard great praise of Christopher A. Cole as fine police officer. She & her husband both worked with him & found him to be a honest hard worker of high moral character.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. I've known Chris for seven years as his Chiropractor and I'm proud to say friend. His presence in my life on a weekly basis has been something I've grown to cherish and will forever miss. He would always have a smile on his face and a story to share. On many occasions he's been the best part of my day. I've tried to support him these past several years through all the ups and downs and am sorry to say that he's probably done more for me than I've been able to do for him. Mr. Cole was such a caring, loving, and devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather. The light in his eyes beamed through his family. My greatest memories of him were in Grosse Pointe Woods, whether he was driving Phaelyn and I to swim practice, picking us up from sleep overs in his squad car, or just talking with him at his kitchen table. He brought laughter and joy to every person he knew. He will be missed terribly and loved always. Forever in our hearts, rest in peace Mr. Cole. God give the strength to his wonderful family, who await their day to see him again in your precious Kingdom.

Chris Cole, was my "adopted" brother and brother in law for over 25 years- he made us happy and laugh with his voices, jokes and stories and made us cry by looking into his eyes. He was a devoted friend and always had good things to say about others-he is still teaching me to just "love" people like he did-I now welcome Chris as an angel into our lives-We LOVE you Chris.....

Dear Mr. Chris, you were the best there ever was at bringing pop to parties! A real natural. I could always find where you were in my house because of the trail of morsels you scattered. The electric knife was sheer genius. You made my dad laugh at Thanksgiving and Christmas and I thank you for that. I lament that you will never be here for another holiday. I must go. To Chris' family, please accept my deepest condolences. I was part of Chris' other family, his family in blue. I was proud to call him a friend and colleague. Chris was always willing to offer guidance and share his experience with young officers, for which I am eternally grateful. He was a good cop and an honest man. May he finally rest in peace.

Chris, what wonderful memories we have of you. Even though we only had the pleasure of knowing you 9 short years it was evident immediately what a wonderful person you were. We have lost a really precious family member, one who was never short with his love and care for others. I will always remember how no matter when or where we would cross paths; he would always greet me with a hug and a kiss on the cheek. I know you are safe and smiling down on us now. Be at peace my brother in blue and know you are admired and loved by many, and have been all along. Mike, Susie, Wendy and our family in blue, I know things are rough right now, but we will all be there for you as well, always and forever. Mike and Susie, I still miss your dad but I guarantee that he is giving Chris heck right now, so no worries.

When I talk about childhood friends , Chris comes to mind because when we ventured off of Ashland , we knew we had a friend around the corner. My school years yield fond memories of Chris and all of the Ashland area gang. Although I was never much of a fighter , Chris helped teach me to box . When Chris worked for the DPD he provided a sense of security for my family , knowing that our calls were always answered rapidly . For that I will always be grateful . Rest in peace Chris and say hey to my mom and bro who passed in 2007.
