Constance Kowalski, formerly of St. Clair Shores, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born in Detroit on June 19, 1931, to the late Frank and Jesse Blocki. Beloved wife of the late George “Bill” Kowalski. Loving mother to Rosanne (Deacon Bill) Jamieson, Mary (the late Tom) Lapish, Amy (Marty) Sledz, Bill (Cheryl) Kowalski, Bob (Amanda) Kowalski and Jim (Linda) Kowalski. Cherished grandmother of 17 and adoring great-grandmother of 42. She was predeceased by her dear siblings Felicia Koss, Christine Zebrowski, and Ronald Blocki, and three great-grandchildren.
Connie, affectionately known as Ba, enjoyed family gatherings and passing down Polish traditions to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She delighted in teaching the next generation how to make pierogi and chrusciki at Christmastime. She was also fond of game shows, playing Bingo and enjoying sweets and desserts.
Connie was a woman of great faith with a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. Educated by the Felician Sisters, she was very committed to giving a Catholic education to all of her children. For many years she was an active parishioner at St. Angela Parish in Roseville where she was a member of the Altar Sodality.
Visitation Friday, February 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Woods. Instate Saturday, February 14, 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Paul on the Lake, 157 Lake Shore Rd., Grosse Pointe Farms.
