Darlene Adella Towle

Darlene Towle passed away on Saturday November 7 at St. John Hospital with her family by her side. She was born February 26, 1945 in Lincoln Park, Michigan the daughter of Benjamin and Adella Pongones. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Darlene was married to John Towle for 49 years. She is survived by John, her son Kevin, and her daughter Nicole Dudus (David). Her grandchildren Benjamin, Jacob, and Noah as well as her brother Arthur Pongones (Joanne) also survive her. She enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and reading. Holidays, especially Thanksgiving were spent at the family farm outside of Nashville. Darlene was a lifetime boater and a former member of the Old Club on Harsens Island. She is a current member of Bayview Yacht Club. She volunteered her time in the gift shop at the former Bon Secours Hospital. A funeral service will take place 10 am Friday November 13 at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods. Visitation will take place Thursday 1-9 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Scleroses Society.
