David W. Gillette

David "Dave" Gillette was born March 20, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan. He entered into rest October 15, 2018 at the age of 76. In his younger years Dave earned his pilots license and often enjoyed flying. Through his time flying he not only broadened his horizons but met many lifelong friends. He also enjoyed Bass fishing but never minded when other fish were caught. He was a very loving grandfather and shared an especially close relationship with his 2 year old granddaughter Liliana. Dave also adored animals and doted on his cat Grayson, and his furry grandchildren Sadie, Hope and Lea who always made sure he had a companion everywhere he went. Dave is predeceased by his parents, his brother Jack Gillette, and beloved wife of 33 years Mary Jane. He leaves behind his children Jane (Bill) Bell, Michael (Amy) Gillette, and Paul (Sherry) Gillette, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his remaining brother Don (Nancy) Gillette, and many dear friends. A funeral service will be held Thursday October 18, 2018 at 12:00pm, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 11:00am at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd.
