

Don was pre-deceased by his parents, and beloved son Donald DeWulf JR.
Don is survived by his loving wife Marlene of 67 years, his children; Michael and Pamela Dewulf of Chesterfield, MI., Thomas & Sally DeWulf Semaan of New Baltimore MI.,Peter & Athena DeWulf of Saint Clair Shores, MI., Stephen & Elizabeth DeWulf Laney in City of Grosse Pointe, MI. Many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister Patti Quarters Gitre whom he adored.
He attended High School at St.Martin in 1950, where he was proud of being a state champ in football that year, he also met the love of his life there, Marlene Lochbiler,
Don married Marlene in 1953. Don owned a few business one being a restaurant in Detroit called Champs, before moving to New Baltimore, where he became partner in Blue Water Medical supply.
Don’s greatest love was time spent with Marlene and all his kids and grandkids . He Loved the water and fishing, He owned a summer cottage on Harsens Island, where he and his family enjoyed countless gatherings that would include boating, fishing, and BBQ. Of course an occasional cocktail would find its way into the fun. Don was often told he was the life of any party, besides his family.
Don enjoyed travel to Florida for the winter where he owned a condo in Highland Beach, the Coronado, where he spent many years of enjoyment as well . It’s been said that once you meet Don, you’ve made a friend you loved to be around. Don will be missed by all whom knew him and thought of fondly as well. He lived life to the fullest and his Faith was intact.
A memorial gathering will take place Monday, June 29, 2020 from 11:30 AM until time of memorial Mass 12:00 PM at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236. At this time there will be no luncheon but there will be a celebration of life held in the fall.
Internment will be held in May at St. Paul on the Lake in Grosse Pte Farms.
