I will always remember both Don and Family -- Don made working late nights at EDHS fun -- (Sorry about those snowballs I tossed) - it was interesting to find I had met Don at my Brother-in-laws parties- LOL -- We just lost one of the "GOOD GUYS"

Hi to all, I am SO sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Hagen. He was like a surrogate father to me. A couple of my best memories of him were when he was my chauffeur during my City Council election and my elections as judge. We shared SO many political campaign strategies and other wonderful times. He was at every fundraiser, at the polls and was intimately involved in all of my campaigns. I am forever grateful to Mr. Hagen for his time, talent, and most of all for his love. Every time I visited Mr. and Mrs. Hagen' home, I was greeted with a huge hug and kiss from the Hagens. Mr Hagen always stood tall and strong, and the first words out oh his mouth were ALWAYS, "how about a shot and a cold one." Sometimes we shared our cold one in the living room while we discussed everything political, as well as family and friends. When there was anything that Mr. Hagen wanted to discuss something serious with me, such as something that I did wrong in his eyes, "we had our shot and cold one" in the basement. He knew how much I respected him and his advise. I will miss Mr. Hagen SO much. I will miss our "shot and a cold one," I will miss his hugs and kisses, I will his political and personal advice and counsel and I will miss a proud member of the greatest generation. He was a great husband, wife, father, grandfather and great grandfather. I am blessed to have known Mr. Hagen. He had a profound effect on my life. I could never repay all that he has done for me. I love you, my adoptive dad!! P.S. Your artful woodworking will always have a place in my heart and my home.
