Donna J. Cola

Donna Jean Cola, age 78 of Warren, passed away peacefully in her home on November 30, 2017. She was born in Pontiac on October 1, 1939; the daughter of Donald Sharpe and Arlene Emma (nee Sova) Sharpe. Donna dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. They would spend summers at their dream home just outside of Indian River where they relished water activates such as; fishing, boating, skiing and riding wave runners. They would also enjoy time together over bonfires and great conversation. Most family members enjoyed their time up north that they were rarely ever ready to leave. Donna was a huge U of M and Lions fan and also enjoyed her daily coffee from McDonalds or Speedway. At Speedway, she began to know exactly how to fix her French Vanilla Cappuccino machine when it was acted up. Her home during the holidays was elaborately decked out with decorations from each holiday; Christmas, especially. Donna will be remembered for being strong and independent. Though she always spoke her mind, her compassion for giving and caring for her family will be cherished always. Beloved wife of the late Joseph for 55 years. Loving mother of Sherry (Scott) Rhodes, Beth (William) Chambo and Joseph (Janet) Cola Jr. Treasured grandmother of Ashley (David) Shelton and Brendan Chambo. Dear sister of Don (Barb) Sharpe, Doug (Mary) Sharpe and the late John McKee. Donna is also survived by many caring nieces, nephews, family and friends. Donnas family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3rd from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. A funeral ceremony will be held on Monday, December 4th at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. A committal service will immediately follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Roseville.
