Dorothy Ann Dolan

Dorothy Ann Dolan, a resident of Saint Clair Shores, passed away on September 15, 2018 at the age of 93. A daughter of Walter Hedemark and Ruth (nee Uhlian), she was born on September 8, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio. Dorothy married Gerald Dolan in July of 1946 and began their adventures shortly thereafter. They loved camping in their trailer with dear neighbors and friends and also traveled to many countries with the Nomads Travel Club. Dorothy enjoyed entertaining, golfing, bowling and worked faithfully as a member of the Bon Secour Nursing Home Auxiliary for many years. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc since 1954. Beloved wife of the late Gerald. Loving mother of Susan (John) Parker, Michael (Karen), Timothy (Mary), and James. Cherished grandmother of Rebecca (Brandon), Mathew (Susan), Rachel (Robert), Daniel (Stephanie), David (Jessica), Justin, Timothy, Nicholas (Kellie), and Shaun (Stephanie). Proud great-grandmother of Drew, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Alex, Colin, Ellie, Owen, Jacob, Daniel, Wyatt, Landon, Carter, Tenley, Sutton, Summer, Kasey, and the late Nicholas. Dear sister of Douglas Hedemark. Loved by many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. In state Saturday, September 22, at 9:30 am until time of memorial Mass 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Mack Ave, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
