

HARPER WOODS - Edward H. Kotun, age 91, born in Rosedale, PA on September 24, 1927, died on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. A WWII Navy veteran, he was a resident of Harper Woods. He is preceded in death by parents Michael and Mary (Chory) Kotun, brothers John William, George Henry, and Henry Paul. He is survived by brother Joseph Charles of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and Eleanor Jane (Kotun) Vamvakias of Cumming, Georgia, along with numerous nephews and nieces. After graduation from the University of Miami, he entered the steamship business in New York and was transferred by Farrell Lines Incorporated to Detroit as District Manager in 1976. After retirement, he operated his own steamship agency in Detroit. He was also Secretary-Treasurer of the Grosse Pointe Chamber Music Society for many years . A funeral service will be celebrated at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods on Tuesday, December 18, at 10 AM by Rev. Joseph Repko, Pastor of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. Internment will follow at St. John Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.
