Eleanore Ruth Armstrong

Eleanore Ruth Armstrong was born on Friday, June 1, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan. She is one of five children born to George and Margaret (nee Calder) Marshall. Eleanore entered into heavenly rest on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Charles for 49 years. Loving mother of Sharon Armstrong and the late David Charles Armstrong. Cherished grandmother of Antione (Jennifer) Barnes and Davey Armstrong. Great-grandmother of JoHannah Barnes. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Eleanore and her next door neighbor, Angie, were the first families to move to their neighborhood and they both moved within a week of each other. They enjoy a strong friendship to this day. In Eleanore's later years, she lost her mobility and that is when she started to do adult coloring and playing solitaire. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and her two canine companions, Zoey and Joey. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. Memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or to Michigan Humane Society would be appreciated.
