I only had the pleasure of meeting your mom once but I wanted to send my condolences for your loss. I know first hand how heavy your heart feels. I lost my mom on the same day. You are in our thoughts in this difficult time. Jim, your Mom sounds like a great lady. We have benefitted from the Red Cross locally here and appreciate all who are a part of it. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.

It was our pleasure to work with Betty at Crowleys and to share the occasional lunch with her and the "Crowley Girls." She was a lovely lady and will be missed. Our sincere sympathy.

Betty was a great Red Cross Volunteer. Humble, sincere, organized, focused, on task, loving of others and always looking great. She was a great friend of the St. Clair County Chapter in Port Huron. She was one in a Million. She will be missed by people all around the country.

Those of us who have been active volunteers in the Southeastern Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross over the years always considered Betty a treasure. Betty never missed an opportunity to help, to provide leadership, and to advise. She attended every board meeting. Her activities were legion. Very few volunteers in the Chapter were involved as long as Betty. When I was Chapter Chair in 2001, I counted on Betty to provide the historical perspective. Her memory and experience were invaluable. Betty's passing is a great loss. It's difficult to imagine the next Ambassador Council meeting without her. My husband Len Charla and I send our sincerest condolences to Betty's family.

Well Lynchers what a tremendous loss but WOW what a fantabulous LADY! We all share so many Betty memories clear back to Beaver Court, um many I probably shouldnt mention right now. Parenting with a no-nonsense attitude with favorite sayings like "sit on your hands" and "this is NOT a gymnasium" your Mom was certainly strong yet always so warm and approachable. I know youve all made her so very proud over the years but I still have to laugh thinking about the times when you guys were up to something and matter-of-fact Betts would be "dont look at me its not my fault." Lizabeth, thanks for sharing your Mom with me all these years, love her always and miss her already. Think shes pulling up a recliner next to Jack the Wit right now and their breaking out the pop and chips. Love, Barb

Very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. A parent's passing is such a changing event. Knowing that she is in a much better, happier place can provide joy to the sadness of loss.
