

Eric Reitzloff Sr. passed away on July 27, 2017 at the age of 48. He was born on October 15, 1968 in Grosse Pointe; son of Jim and Barbara Reitzloff. Eric graduated from Harper Woods High School where he was a member of the 1986 State Champion baseball team. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit and caring heart. Family was the most important thing in the world to Eric. He loved spending time with his family at their cottage in Lexington. Eric was always in charge of preparing and setting his legendary bonfires. He enjoyed shooting his guns and fishing with family members, especially at his Uncle Bob's property up north. Eric loved his yellow lab, Ally; she was always by his side. He will be truly missed by everyone that knew him. Eric was proud of his son Eric Jr. (Tracey) and daughter Rachel (Scott) Ruppel. He will be missed by his loving parents Jim and Barbara. He is survived by his siblings Susan (Paul) Parker, James, Kelly (Michael) Stevans, and Jennifer (Mike) Bednarchik. He adored his grandchildren Cru, Eleanor, Wes, and Olivia. Eric is survived by his loving nieces and nephews-Jeremy, Alyssa, Sydney, Gabrielle, Amber, Tyler, and Irelyn. He enjoyed spending time and vacationing with his fianc Kelli Murphy and he was looking forward to training their new dog, Sam. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 9:00 pm and Monday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd. He will be laid to rest beside his cousin and friend, Tim Krauser, at Forest Lawn Cemetery
