Eva Lois Brooks was born October 9, 1929 in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; the daughter of Ellie and Essie Walls. She entered into rest October 28, 2018 at the age of 89. Lois was an extremely active woman who loved to stay busy. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and volunteering. The Childrens League, the Red Cross, Meals on Wheels and St. John Macomb Hospital were just a few of the organizations she volunteered with. She was also an active member of her church Corner Stone Baptist Church for many years, welcoming other parishioners with a warm smile. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society throughout her life. Lois was a fantastic cook, who hosted many family gatherings and holidays. Lois generosity had her inviting many guest to her table, from the friends to the sick and needy everyone was welcome in her home and she made sure no one left hungry. Lois is predeceased by her parents, beloved husband Harold, son Larry Brooks and sister Reba Mason. She leaves behind her daughter dear Kimberly Brooks, daughter-in-law Susan (Roger) Jarrell. She is the treasured grandmother of Christie (James) Brooks-Renaud, and Kelly Brooks. Great-grandmother of Maya, Luke, and Miles. A visitation will be held for Lois on Thursday, November 1, 2018, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren. She will lie in State Friday November 2, 2018 10:00 until the time of service 11:00 am at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 17017 Twelve Mile Road, Roseville. Memorials may be made to The Michigan League for Crippled Children.
