Mr. Ferdinand Schmidt, age 84, of Dryden, passed away Aug. 15, 2017 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Erna for 64 years; loving father of Evelyn (Thomas) Geitner, Erika (Micharl) Franz, Robert (Anne) Schmidt, and Richard (Grace) Schmidt; proud grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 10; dear brother of Resi Hiesler and Franz Huth; also survived by Mariza Sipple. Mr. Schmidt was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and enjoyed gardening, cutting grass, outside activities, polkas, dancing, telling stories of Europe, and he could fix anything with left over parts. The family will receive friends Fri. 2-9 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 mile) Warren. Service Sat. 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery
