Frank Ramey Baldridge Sr.

Frank Ramey Baldridge Sr. was born November 6, 1929 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Heber and Gypsie Baldridge. He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dog Dobbie. Frank entered into rest March 3, 2017 at the age of 87. He married the love of his life Zelma in 1948 and the couple enjoyed nearly 65 years of marriage before her passing in 2013; the coupled raised five wonderful children together. They moved to Michigan shortly after their marriage where Frank enjoyed working as a truck driver for Chrysler, a job that he enjoyed for many years before his retirement at the age of 70. The simple things in life is where Frank found the most joy, from working in his yard, to playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his family being the pride and joy of his life. A longtime member of First Baptist Church of Sterling Heights, Frank was often the greeter for Sunday services and even served as head deacon. He was known for his friendly smile and unique smirk by the other parishioners at church and everyone loved to stop and talk to him in the Moring's before church started. Frank will be deeply missed by his children Vonda (Michael) Coleman, Frank Jr. (Donna), and Trenda,; his grandchildren Brooke, Tas, Shilo, Jamica, Jessica, Chasity, Jacob and his great-grandchildren Cole, Ardon, Ezra, Amellia, Gavin, Damon, Kaiya, Theron, Ryder, Ozzie, Noah, Luke, Avery. Frank is predeceased by his wife Zelma, Son Stephon and Daughter Theresa. A gathering of family and friends for Frank will be held at the First Baptist Church of Sterling Heights, 33380 Ryan Rd. Sterling Heights 48310 on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am, before his is laid to rest at Christian Memorial Cultural Center, 521 E. Hamlin Rd, Rochester Hills, 48307.
