Fred was the greatest man I got to have the privledge to have in my life. I looked forward to my days at work to go visit him. No matter the age difference I will always condsider him my best friend. We shared many talks and he gave me advice and listened to everything I had to say. Fred was loved by many, and I personally will never forget how he changed my life. He will always hold a special place in my heart. He always made me wanna become a better person, and I will make sure that I live up to the person he wanted me to be. He will be forever missed!

Fred was the smartest and sharpest man I knew. He touched our hearts and left you smiling. I will miss him so much. I loved him like a father. He always called me "his Annie". Or "his Daughter". I will never forget him.

Fred was a wonderful man who was a joy getting to know and love over the years. Fred cared so much about the people who stepped into his live and became his family. Fred always called him self my "maternal grandfather" which always made me laugh. We have had many great talks over the years, mostly about myself because he was always so interested in what I was up to in my daily life. I'm going to miss seeing fred daily and laughing with and at him. Fred encouraged me to attened college and make a better person out of myself. Also over the pass few months fred has been overly excited about my first born child who he tried to name either Fred or Fredrica, he always told me he hoped the baby will sweeten me up some! Every day was a new expierance with him because like everyone who knows fred they know how he can say some real unexpected things that will just blow you away! Rest in Peace fred, and keep looking out for all of us!

When I walked into Fred's apartment almost 3 years ago to open him to home care, I didn't know quite what to think. I thought, who is this man, with his unusual sense of humor, bluntness, loud laugh, and great big heart. I have so many wonderful memories with Fred. From almost falling on the floor at my son's band concert and blaming it on me to enjoying pecan pie at my house on Christmas eve. He brought so much joy to my family's life and I thank God for giving me Fred. Fred became much more than my patient, he became my family. Fred, Marc, myself, Zachary and Zoie will miss you with all our hearts. I hope they have lots of honey mustard in heaven...Now go soak your head! I love you, Fred.

My sympathy to Fred's family. I had known Fred since I was a child. He and my uncle (Don Jean) were great friends and actually bought the land and Port Sanilac together and split it between the two of them. After my uncle passed, my grandparents lived in Port Sanilac next Fred and Marion for many years; following their passing my mother inherited the home there. We spent many years in Port Sanilac with Fred next door. Rest and peace Fred and give Uncle Don and Nana and Grandpa a hug for me.
