
Gene W. TeufelJune 8,1936 - January 31, 2021Gene was born in Detroit to Earl and Lillian (Siller) Teufel. He attended Detroit Eastern high school and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wayne State University. After being drafted and serving in the Army for two years, he settled in Detroit, marrying Shelby (Locke) and began a civil service career with the Defense Department as a technical writer and editor. He was very proud of serving our soldiers and felt a life long military connection. He also taught perspective drawing at Macomb College in Warren for 12 years as part of their adjunct facilty. He was a former member of the Fort Street Chorale in Detroit.    Gene is survived by his wife of 34 years Linda (Heimke), his daughter Angela Amore-Egbert (Scott), son Steve Teufel (Serena), his step-sons Jerry Lewellen and Michael Heimke and step-daughter Jennifer Noel (David). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.Â
Visitation is Friday, February 5th, from 2PM til 9PM with a 7PM Funeral Service at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home 32000 Schoenherr Rd. (at Masonic Blvd.) Facial Covering Required
