Genevieve M Perna

Genevieve M. Perna, 88, passed away April 10, 2012 at St. John Hospital in Detroit. She was born on September 24, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Theophil and Christine Blind. Genevieve enjoyed gardening, music, and crocheting. She especially loved to spend time with her family. Genevieve was predeceased by her husband Anthony in 1963. She is the loving mother of eight children; Tony (Cindy), Bob (Karen), John, Theresa (Steve) Swalec, Chris, Tom, Mary (the late Mark) Stieber, and Joann. She is the proud grandmother of twelve. Genevieve is also survived by her brothers; Richard (the late Vera), Alfred (Mary), and the late Edward (Helen), and her sisters; Mary Catherine (Rex) Steele, and Margaret. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm with 7:30 pm Rosary Service at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Instate Saturday 10:30 am until time of Mass 11:00 am at St Jude Catholic Church, 15879 E. 7 Mile, Detroit. Father Rich Bartoszek to officiate.
