I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of George. I also had the privilege of working with George at Hella and got to know him pretty well during a week of work in Mexico a few years back. He was such a smart, down to earth, and friendly guy. He will be missed. Please accept my condolences.

George was such a cheerful, "can-do" person, always willing to help, gracious in answering questions, eager to explain and share his knowledge (and his love of cats!). He was a good person and will be deeply missed.

Sandy, family and cats, I am so sorry for your loss, George was a great man whom I feel lucky to have been acquainted with. I have worked with him at Hella for several years on many projects domestic and abroad. If you were around George and didnâ€™t learn something than you didnâ€™t pay attention, he knew so much about so many things and never refused somebody in need.

I worked with George on many projects over the years. He will be greatly missed by Hella, but not nearly as much as by his family. My sincere condolences to all.

George has been a guiding light in my work. He was always inspiring, challenging, and hilariously funny. George's dry wit made many dark days brighter, and life's challenges a little more bearable. Sandy, I'm so sorry for your loss. George's personality and hard work left an indelible imprint. I think fondly back on the several car trips George and I took between Plymouth and Flora and also to Evansville during the long time we worked together at Hella. His passion and knowledge of music and rock history really made those trips memorable. His stories and personal anecdotes seemed endless, and many stories brought me to tears laughing so hard. But my favorite memory is still of George at his desk, spinning around in his chair feverishly as he would detail out all of the intricacies of the software programs that he would be writing. George really knew his stuff, and he had his way to bring fun into work. He will be missed. God bless you and keep you.

Family, I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with George at Hella, and I always enjoyed working with him. He was a very intelligent, talented, and no-nonsense engineer and I definitely learned a lot from him over the years. I always felt grateful and relieved that he was on our team and making sure things got done, in the way that only George could do. I especially enjoyed riding with him on the various road trips from Plymouth to Flora; he always made an otherwise boring drive into an enjoyable experience. He will be missed, and Iâ€™ll never forget him.
