Georgios Mourtos

George Mourtos passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 6, 2022 at the age of 81. He was born in Ano Hora, Greece on January 2, 1941; son of Ioannis and Aspasia (nee Sakellaris) Mourtos.

He is survived by his loving wife Konstantina. He was proud of his sons John and Frank (Tina), and daughter Elena Panagopoulos (Dimitrios). He adored his grandchildren George, Evie, Harry, Labrini, and George. He leaves behind his brothers Christos (the late Nitsa Maragdoulis), Theoharis (Olga), Orestis “Rex” (Leah), and sister Angeliki Saketos (the late Eleftherios); and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Voula Varelas (the late Christos) and in-laws Fotios and Maria Skaltsas.

George will lie instate on Monday, January 10th from 9:00 am until the time of his funeral at 10:00 am at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 21800 Marter Rd, St Clair Shores.
