Gloria J. Douglas was born on June 8, 1929 to Grant and Birdie (nee Ball) Blackburn in Pikeville, KY. She passed away on January 4, 2010 at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, MI. Gloria was a housewife who enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Gloria is survived by her husband Bobbie; her children: Gloria (the late Roy) Leach, Brenda Lovelady, Harold (Barb) Thacker, Cheryl (Chuck) Ozbun, and Bobby Douglas, Jr. She also leaves 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and her sister Jean Ball. The Funeral will take place on Friday, January 8th 10:00am at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier, Grosse Pointe Woods. Interment is to take place at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Flat Rock, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 until 9pm.
