

Gregory J. Rose, age 36, died unexpectedly on March 29, 2016 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens. Greg was born on October 5, 1979 in Mount Clemens, the son of Gregory W. and Mary Rose. He grew up in St. Peters, Missouri and St. Clair Shores. He was a 1997 graduate of Warren Woods Tower High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Marine Corp to serve his country. Greg was employed as a team leader at Chrysler. He was a family man who enjoyed all sports, particularly the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan football. He coached a variety of sports teams and liked karate, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed camping and roaring bonfires. Greg is survived by his son, Anthony M. Rose; his mother, Mary Rose; siblings, Jennifer Rose, Lisa Rose-Heckman (Daren) and Michelle Rose (finance David Wieseckel); nephews, Adam and D.J.; and nieces, Kayla and Briella. He is also survived by his grandmother, Ernestine Rose and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Greg was predeceased by his father Gregory W. Rose in 2013. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 9:00 pm Friday at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. A scripture service will begin at 7:00 pm Friday evening. His body will lie instate at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores from 9:30 am Saturday until mass begins at 10:00 am. Monsignor G. Michael Bugarin will officiate. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Memorial donations to the family would be appreciated.
