Guila Ann Papineau was born December 19, 1926 in Detroit and entered into rest April 14, 2015 in Saint Clair Shores at the age of 88. To a great life, Guila was the loving wife of the late Robert and dearest mother of Lanette (Edward) O'Mara, William and Kate. She was grandmother to Erin, Sean, Breanna, Morgan and great-grandmother of Dempsey. Guila loved to read and was a honorary librarian at Parcells Middle School. She was an Accomplished artist and was a Special Education and Art Teacher at the School for the Deaf in Detroit. For years she volunteer at the Unitarian Thrift Store. Guila loved nature but above all she loved her grandchildren. Memorial gathering Sunday, 12:00 noon until time of memorial service 1:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack at Vernier road, Grosse Pointe Woods, 48236. Father Joe Tuskiewicz will be officiating.
