Helen M. Angelo

Helen M. Angelo died on November 3, 2013 at age 99. She was born in Ellsworth, PA on July 6, 1914 to Anna and Dominic Cicci. Helen married the love of her life, Chris Angelo in 1939 and soon after moved to Michigan. They lived and raised a family in Harper Woods and attended St. Jude Catholic Church in Detroit for over 50 years. Helen and Chris were married for 61 years before his death in 2000. During her long life she worked as a hair dresser, seamstress and was renowned for her cooking and baking of wonderful chocolate chip cookies. As a member of the senior club she traveled widely and took in many sites and places. Helen is the last of 10 siblings. She is survived by her daughter Pamela (Robert) Pucci and son Richard (Barbara) Angelo. She was a beloved grandmother of five, a great-grandmother and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Helen will be Thursday from 3-9 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave.at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods with Rosary at 7 pm. She will lie instate Friday at 9:30 am until time of Mass 10:00 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 54045 Schoenherr, Shelby Township.
