Helen Marie Senak (Nee Rusnak) was born May 30, 1923 in Detroit to John and Marie Rusnak. She entered into rest at her home on September 8, 2017, at the age of 94. The two most important things in Helens life were her faith and her family. When she wasnt doing something with her children or grandchildren, she was spending time with her church family. Helen was an avid gardener and adored flowers of all shapes and sizes. Her favorite thing to grow was tomatoes, no matter where she lived she always found some place to grow them. She stayed active by walking and riding her bicycle around the neighborhood. Helen also enjoyed cooking, especially for her family. Whenever she would host a dinner, Helen loved serving so much that family had a tough time getting her to sit down and eat. Dinner was usually followed by a competitive game of Uno or Tri-Ominoes where Helen often told her family that Uno meant "Every person for themselves." Helen was an active member in the Gratiot Ave Baptist Church, and continued to attend Cornerstone Baptist Church for over 30 years. She also enjoyed a nearly 30 year career as a Keypunch operator at Chrysler. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Paul. Helen leaves behind her children; David (Corliss), Ronald (Margaret), Timothy (Patricia) and Gary (Beth); grandchildren, Amy, Danny, Becky, Aaron, Carylnn, Kelley, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Kevin, and John; and, 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Ruth Krejci. Visitation Monday 3-8 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. at Masonic (13 Mile Rd.) in Warren. She will lie in state Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service 11:00 A.M. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 17017 Twelve Mile Rd. Roseville, MI.
