Helga Weber

Helga Weber was born December 17, 1932 in Peine, Germany. She moved to the United States with her husband living in New York for several years before eventually settling in the metro-Detroit Area. Helga entered into rest June 21, 2017 in Clinton Township, Michigan. She adored cooking and baking especially traditional German dishes. Helga was known for 'over preparing' for partying and there was never a shortage of food when she was involved. Helga was an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran in Warren, she loved to attend church and receive Holy Communion. She did several odd jobs throughout her life from working in bakeries and noodle factories she kept herself busy and provided a good life for her family. After moving to Michigan she worked as a teaching assistant, and continued to do so for over 15 years until her retirement. Helga leaves behind her husband of 66 years Robert; her children Gisela (Ken) and Robert, and granddaughter Aimee. She will be dearly missed by her family, church and neighbors. Visitation for Helga will be Monday 2:00 - 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. Warren. She will lie in state Tuesday 12 Noon until the time of service 1:00pm at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 32300 Schoenherr Rd, Warren MI 48088. She will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery, in Holly Michigan.
