She was born on November 12, 1934, to Howard and Loy Welsh. Henrietta met her future husband, Wesley, while the two were working together as coworkers. Over time, their friendship grew into a lifelong partnership. They were married on March 14, 1964, and together raised two children, Mike and Martha.
In the mid-1970s, Henrietta and Wesley purchased the business where they first met and worked, becoming its new owners. Henrietta balanced her work life with deep devotion to her family. She was always there for her children as they grew, and as they became adults, her role evolved from parent to trusted friend.
Henrietta was a woman of faith who loved the Lord and found comfort and guidance in her beliefs throughout her life. Her faith shaped the way she loved, served, and supported those around her.
She loved warmth and sunshine, whether spending time in Florida or relaxing at the family’s summer cottage in Chelsea. She especially cherished time with her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She also had a lifelong love for animals, with a special place in her heart for mini schnauzers.
Henrietta will be remembered for her steady presence, her deep faith, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends.
She is welcomed into heaven by her loving husband, Wesley Jend.
She is survived by her cherished children, Martha (Ed) Abraham, and Lee Michael (Lillian) Bryant; adored grandchildren, Adam (Kris), the late Lee (Amy), and Christopher (Tiffany); as well as eight treasured great-grandchildren.
